Widely known for his comedic stature and childish looks, Osita Iheme is a Nigerian born actor who is best known for his role in the film ‘Aki na Ukwa’ alongside Chinedu Ikedieze in the role of Pawpaw.

About Osita Iheme

Showcasing brilliantly the role of a naughty child he was hired in many films. Born in February 1982(38 y/o), suffers from a rare genetic disorder that attributes towards his childlike appearance. One of the most famous actors in the Nigerian film industry, Osita hails from Mbaitoli in Nigeria where he grew up. He also has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Lagos State University.

Before he broke into prominence with his role in ‘Aki na Ukwa’ in 2003, Osita was mainly cast in the role of a child. After his breakthrough, he adopted himself with more mature and powerful roles. Starring in over a hundred films, Osita is one of the most recognised faces in Nigeria. The founder of Inspired Movement Africa, Osita is the author of a book called INSPIRED 101 and is the new Generation Ambassador for Rotary International District 9110.

Evolving from a career of a simple comedian to an established actor, Osita received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2007 African Movie Academy Awards making him one of the top actors of the country. In 2011, his contribution towards the growth of the African Film Industry was recognised by President Goodluck Jonathan and awarded him with the Nigerian National Honour of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic.
